So, how long have u been developing on imvu hon?
Well I have been on IMVU for 2 years, and developing for about 1 year of that.
What made you start?
I would have to say because I was spending to much money shopping.
Lol, always a good reason
So I decided I can do better or at least get better, now look at me. hehe
I must say, I'm loving where you're at right now and I've seen your designs improve myself over the period that I've been working with you, so I can't wait to see where you go in the long run.
Me ether girl lol.
What did you start with, I know several people who got their start with hair?
I started with this purple dress and I happened to mess it up big time so I hid it.
Lol, aww
I can show you if you'd like.
Great let's see it, aww, that's cute, lol.
So how long did it take you before you started getting the end result you wanted?
It took me only about 2 weeks before I made what became one of my best sellers.
When and why did u get into making men's clothing?
I realized that men shop as much as us women and they love shopping for there girls.
Do you have a favorite thing to develop?
It would have to be dresses I just love to look cute so it would have to be my favorite, hands down.
Do you have a least favorite?
Hmm, Don't know, if I make it, it usually turns out great... so can't say that I do.
So where do you get your inspiration for designs?
I get it from my own personal style, as well as what I see in stores and online stores. Just clothing itself inspires me. I'm a clothing freak. lol
I'm that way with shoes, i love em
So who are some of your favorite developers? Is there anyone who stands out to you?
Okay it would have to be Coldme38. She is just one of the greatest people I have had a chance to get to know and makes some of the baddest women and male clothing.
I'm loving her new work as well, have a few of them already.
Yes i own her whole line lol
Which would you say you like doing more, the rooms and furniture, or the clothing?
Clothing all the way, you can express your self more with clothing.
So what's next on your agenda, any projects in the works?
Well first I have to download everything once again. Then I have 20 male shirts coming out as well as jeans
Do you take requests?
Yes I do.
And when you decided to use a model, was there anything in particular you were looking for?
Someone who stands out as well has have a good head on her shoulder and some one who knows how to do art as well. You have that so I'm glad you model for me.
So what advice would you give to someone trying to become a developer?
I would have to say... Don't give up. It will come to you if you keep on trying. Go big or go home. Someone told me to start off with a shirt. I'm like that's to easy. I wanted a dress and that's what I made. It was not perfect but I went for something bigger... then a shirt. I went for what I wanted.
Is there anything about developing that you can't stand? Like, if there was one thing you could change, what would it be?
I would have to say peer review hands down. I don't think it's fair.
So where do you want to go in the future with your developing? What can we hope to see from you in the future?
Hmm we will just have to wait and find out. Just know it will be hot and top quality.
Woo-hoo, I can't wait.

How long have you been on IMVU and a developer?
I signed on in April of 2007 and started developing probably in May
Did you come to IMVU just to develop?
I was actually bored and saw an ad on MySpace. I thought I'd just come check it out and found something really special instead.
Special? How so?
A way to work from home doing what I love to do, art and design
Well, you do a wonderful job at it. Did anyone inspire you to develop or help you out that you want to mention?
Everything and everyone inspires me really. I was in college when I got pregnant my senior year and decided I'd stay home. I taught myself graphic designs and opened my own business for a few years, but it was really difficult to get work without the degree. I found I could use my skills here to create things people can enjoy.
Wow, that's amazing and inspiring to our readers to know that a single Mom like you can do such wonderful things.
I'm actually not a single mom anymore but my two youngest children need special care, so I'm glad that I can work from home to give it to them.
I'm glad to hear you are happy and have a family.
Speaking of family, I read on your Homepage that your daughter has diabetes, please tell me how you learned about it and how it changed your life as a mother of a young diabetic.
Yes, we already have an autistic son, so when we found out our daughter was diabetic, it was even more difficult to deal with. We'd had the impression that she was healthy all that time. I have been so busy the last three months caring for our daughter's shots and blood sugar levels, there hasn't been as much time to design.
You must be an amazing mother to have two wonderful children to care for. How do you do it?
I don't have a choice really, they need me and I have to do it. I love them too much not to. You find the strength somehow. I've learned a lot about the disease these last few months and realized that most people aren't aware of how serious diabetes really is. So I'm on a mission to educate people.
I agree, most don't realize there is a difference in the two types. Your daughter is Type I, correct?
Exactly, there's more about type 2 diabetes out there. While they're alike in many ways, the road to recovery is very different. For one, there's no way.
Can you explain what being Type I means?
With type 1, people will never be free from insulin shots. Type 1 is when the body's immune system attacks the pancreas, the part of the body that makes insulin and breaks down sugars. Type 1 people need to get insulin into their bodies through injections. In type 2, the pancreas works, but it mearly isn't working as well as it should, so diet usually takes care of you.
Type I usually wears an insulin pump to help regulate it, correct?
Pumps are an option now days, but it takes time to get the pump, within the first year they say. My daughter is still getting traditional injections several times a day.
How is her lifestyle? Is she still able to be a kid and be active or are there things that she is unable to do because of it?
There's football players with diabetes, so no, there's no limitations. She just has to be more careful to watch her sugars, because exercise or lack of it can make her sugars spike one way or the other. That means lots of finger pricks.
That's great! I'm glad she can still have a normal childhood.
Definitely. And the better she takes care of herself, the healthier her organs will be. She can live a long life.
How did you know or find out something was wrong? What were the signs?
Well, she was thirsty a lot and complained of her stomach hurting. But for all the water she was drinking, she looked so dehydrated. One Sunday we woke up and her lips were white, so we took her in to the doctor thinking that she had the flu and she was rushed to ICU. It was pretty scary, but we got our first ambulance ride. haha
She was diagnosed at age 5, correct?
Yes
How old is she now?
It was just 3 months ago, so she's still 5
Is she still adapting?
She's taking her own finger pricks though and really is doing well. Yes. She's an amazing girl for sure!
That's great.
I'm glad she's at an age where she won't remember not being diabetic. I think it would be harder to remember life without it, like many teens suffer.
How does one learn more about this disease? Do you have a website where others may get information?
There's a Diabetes Association with everything on it.
Many probably want to know is there a cure for this?
There is not a cure, no. But they're taking great strides toward one. I hope my daughter sees one in her lifetime. Some say that it could happen.
Is there research to come up with a cure?
They have discovered a possible cure in rats but it will be many years before testing makes it to humans.
I'm sure. What is your daughter's name, if i may ask?
Erin
Well, I wish Erin great happiness and you too as a wonderful mother.
Thank you, you too.
I applaud you not only for your developing skills which are amazing, but as a person. Thank you so much for sharing your work, art and story with us.
I'm happy to have the opportunity to share them with everyone.
If you ever need models [winks at ImaFoxx] you know who to ask. [Smiles]
Will do
